My teen is almost 18, can she come? Age requirements for all adult workshops are non-negotiable. All crafters must be 18+ being accompanied by an adult does not count

Do I need to pre-register?: YES, secure your spot online before arrival. We are unable to accommodate walk-in’s. 1 hour before class, call/text 215-527-2283 to check for open seat

Do I HAVE to sign a waiver EVERY year? YES! Due to insurance requirements, anyone participating in a Handsome Acres Farm program must have a signed and initialed waiver on file each year. Waivers are valid January 1–December 31.

Can I bring alcohol? YES! BYOB (21+): ONLY Guests 21+ are welcome to bring and enjoy their own “adult” beverages. (please plan a safe ride home)

Can I bring hot food? YES! BYOF! Bring your favorite foods (hot or cold) to enjoy. Nut free is appreciated for those crafters with allergies.

Can I come solo? YES! Solo crafters welcome and encouraged! Come meet fellow crafters or put your headphones in and get lost in your project.

There aren’t enough seats for my group. Can you add seats? No, we cannot exceed the maximum class size. However, we’d love to schedule your group for a private workshop! Together we choose a date & time AND THE BEST PART—we do not charge a venue fee for private group events. Private workshop seats are the same cost as public workshops!

Why are your class sizes small? Two main reasons,

• 1. More Personalized Attention: Our smaller class sizes allow us to provide more individual attention, hands-on guidance, & better overall experience for each participant.

• 2. The Project Determines Class Size: The project determines class size. Smaller & less-difficult projects allow more participants. Larger and more intricate projects require smaller class size to ensure proper work space, and individual attention.

What should I wear? No matter the location—The Little Greenhouse or The Little Schoolhouse Workshop—or the season, closed-toe, sturdy shoes and layers that can get soiled are best. We work with a variety of sharp and heavy tools that can be accidentally dropped, so closed-toe shoes are important for protecting your feet. Our workshop locations also have a variety of surfaces, including stone, gravel, rubber mats, pavers, grass, wood stairs, and ramps, making sturdy, comfortable footwear especially helpful. We have heating and air conditioning, but everyone’s idea of comfortable varies, so dressing in layers allows you to adjust as needed. We provide one-size-fits-all aprons to help protect clothing during class.

Can I smoke? Our workshops, porches, entrance & ramp areas are smoke-free spaces. No smoking within 50 feet of our workshops to help keep the air comfortable for our crafters. We kindly request smoke breaks occur in our parking areas. We truly appreciate your understanding.

What if I can’t finish my project during class time? No worries! Our goal is for EVERY crafter to have a finished project that you’re proud of, even if it takes a little extra time or assistance. We understand projects can take different amounts of time, and depending on workshop circumstances, we offer several options to help you finish your project:

• Stay a little longer: If our schedule allows and it's not too late in the evening, we're happy to provide extra time and assistance until you're satisfied with your project.

• Take it home: You can take your unfinished project and necessary crafting materials home to complete it at your own pace. (tools must stay at the workshop)

• Let us finish it for you: If your project is nearly complete, we can finish it for you & arrange to pick it up at a later date.

• Come back another day: We can arrange a time for you to return to one of our workshops and finish your project with our assistance.
